Wild Oak lesson horses are available for full or half-lease. Leasing is an excellent way to have use of a horse without the long-term commitment of ownership. Leases include all farrier, vet care and use of appropriate tack. Our horses have all competed at dressage shows and are available for showing. Full lease gives you full-time access to the horse for $475-525/month plus one lesson per week. Half-leases allow up to 2 rides/week + 2 lessons/month for $250-300/month. Leases can be month-to-month or for a specific period of time. Lease payments are due the first of the month, and children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult parent or guardian while at the farm. Leasing is particularly appropriate for parents with "horse-crazy" offspring, who want to give their child the equestrian experience and education but aren't quite ready to make the (considerable) financial commitment of buying a suitable horse, tack and boarding. We can provide "horse sense" lessons, teaching your child correct horse handling, grooming, and safety. Our assistant trainer, Amanda, conducts beginner's lessons and horse-handling sessions.
Not yet pictured: Phoenix, a 15h, 13 yr old chestnut gelding. Phoenix is athletic, has great rideable gaits and is suitable for the intermediate rider. Picture soon!
