Fae Leffler and her outstanding 6 yr old Halfinger gelding, Adrenaline Rush SBF. They have only been partners for about a year, but during their first show season in 2009 they blew the doors off every venue at which they competed. With multiple high scores of 70%-79.858%, several Championships, including the National Dressage Pony Cup Championship at Training Level, the pair made the "big boys" take notice of the amazing Haflinger breed. Rush even received a perfect "10" on his free walk. Rush is also ranked in the USDF Horse of the Year standings. Fae earned a 7th place in the USDF Adult Amateur Division Year End Awards. Fae comes from a strong show jumping and polo background but this last year was her first effort at serious dressage competition. We are so proud of this exceptional team and look forward to their next season at First Level.
Dr. Wendy O'Desky-Reichel, DVM, and her gorgeous homebred Friesian/Trakehner cross, VF Esabella. The 2009 season was very good for them! They won multiple championships at Intro and Training Level, including the GLDC/FDCTA Series Championship and GLDC Year End Reserve Championship at Training Level. They have worked hard and achieved the recognition they earned. We are really proud and happy for them! Kim Beck and her striking 7 yr old Paint/Percheron cross, Ulla Kirschvasser, at the WOF Schooling Show Oct 2009. Kim began dressage just about a year ago when she purchased Ulla. She has progressed from a beginner to an effective partner in a very short time! Aimee Meads and Adhemar at the Wild Oak Schooling Show October 11, 2009. Here they won the Training Level Test 1 class with a 66%. We're looking forward to their First Level season next year. Julie Strohbeck on Ulla Kirschvasser at the Wild Oak Schooling Show, 2009. Ulla is owned by Kim Beck. New this last year to dressage, Julie has become an effective and accomplished rider. Karen Miller and Fame's Flashdance, a Saddlebred gelding. Karen has been pursuing dressage for several years now after competing for a number of years in main ring classes at Arab shows. She finds that dressage has improved her riding and effectiveness and likes what it has done for her horses. She is schooling First/Second Level with Flash. |

Barb Gunning on Dresden, her purebred Arabian gelding. Barb and Dresden were GLDC First Level Champions for 2009! Here they are competing in Findlay at the FDCTA show in September. Martha Preckler on WOF's Ghost Dance, one of our schoolmasters. Martha has been riding for a number of years, and coached and managed her own riding facility in her home state of New York. She says Dan has taught her more than any horse she previously rode, and his demand for precision and correctness has clarified the principles of classical riding in a way no human instructor could. Martha, who has an MBA, is also our business manager, and freelances as a business financial consultant. Linda Urbanski and her 16 yr old Haflinger gelding, Abner M.A.M (Bailey). Here they are competing at the September FDCTA Dressage Schooling Show in Findlay, OH., showing that Haflingers can be successful dressage competitors! They earned a 4th place standing in the GLDC Year End Championship Awards at Training Level for 2009. Jody Franks and Ironwood, a Percheron/TB cross. Jody just purchased Woody this fall, and the two of them have made a great team! Jody and Woody placed 5th in GLDC Year End Championship Awards at Training Level. Darcy Lybarger on WOF's Desert Storm. Darcy is one of our junior riders, and also works at the barn. At the last FDCTA Show in Sept 2009, Darcy was High Scoring Junior Rider. Meredith Meads and Chandler, her TB mare. Meredith's main interest lies in jumping, but she finds dressage helps make her a more effctive rider. Meredith is one of our junior riders. Martha Preckler, this time on Regalo, an Andalusian cross. Regalo spent time at Wild Oak while his owner, Joy Koritz Maier, was in the US Army. Martha developed Regalo's athleticism significantly with dressage training, where Regalo learned to use his body with balance and power.
